Where do you buy your diving equipment?

How do you choose your diving equipment? How do you decide which diving equipment retailer to go for? It seems the price of diving equipment varies incredibly when shopping online. Searching for a new pair of 3mm diving gloves, being fairly new to the industry at the time I was overwhelmed with choice and the range in prices.  3mm diving gloves seem to range from £14 upwards of £40, luckily I went for a reasonably cheap pair of Fourth Element gloves at the time. I didn’t realise that diving gloves were considered a consumable!

Don’t get me wrong, I’d buy them again and they lasted very well through my 9 week diver training course however once I began working inshore civils they didn’t last two minutes. Not to mention that 3mm is definately not thick enough for the North Sea waters when snow is on the ground. Learned that one the hard way!
